Council meetings are held on the first and third Mondays of each month commencing at 5.30pm, unless it is a public holiday and the meeting moves to the next available business day. We have no additional committee meetings, as all matters are included on the Council agenda.
Meeting dates are published annually in the Mercury and on this page. Copies of the meeting agendas are available four days before each meeting by locating the meeting date below and clicking on the relevant link or by obtaining a hard copy at the Civic Centre. Minutes and audio recordings of the Council meetings are also available below.
Members of the public are welcome to attend Council meetings and you are no longer required to register your attendance. The public are also invited to ask questions without notice. A question asked without notice at a meeting cannot be about an item on the current agenda. Alternatively, a written question on notice can be submitted to the General Manager via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by completing this online form. Questions on notice must be received no later than 7 days prior to the meeting date. Section 31 of the Local Government (Meeting Procedures) Regulations 2015 apply regarding public question time alternatively please read our Guidelines for Public Question Time (PDF).
Council live streams its meetings on YouTube via a link that will be made available on Council’s Facebook page, prior to the meeting.
